A question I often find myself asking.
Your favourite software gets discontinued, or you find an application that’s almost perfect but just one little thing about it annoys you, so you start looking for an alternative.

Project Gutenberg – The Time Sink
I made the mistake of digging a bit too deep inside Project Gutenberg the other day and found their CD/DVD Project – OK not that deep, it’s on the first page.
Why was it a mistake? Because 29,500 books suddenly appearing on your hard drive really does send the best laid plans out of the window. 3 days later and I have a backlog of stuff to catch up on.
Oh well there’s always next week.
